Events and Rehearsals

LYGC aims to rehearse material that follows music from Africa to the Americas and it’s evolution there.  This term we are learning everything from super slick Ray Charles and Stevie Wonder tracks to South African anthems, 1960s rights songs by ‘Sweet Honey in the Rock’ and traditional up-tempo gospel/soul numbers like ‘Ain’t No Mountain High Enough’ to, of course, Pharell’s ‘Happy’.

To get involved all you need to do is attend one of our two rehearsals each week!  Easy!  Members attend whichever rehearsal fits their schedule best. Please contact us for details:

Thursday 7-9pm – Notting Hill Gate tube station                            (LYGC West)

Saturday 11am-2pm – Highbury and Islington tube station           (LYGC North)
